The map of the city of Philadelphia is a 1st edition, 1938, advertisement for the "Insurance Company of North America." It depicts Philadelphia of 1792 with vignettes of fire fighting activity of that time. Philadelphia was the cradle of volunteer fire company. The first being started by Benjamin Franklin. The image is 31 1/2x23 12, beautifully colored with some light foxing.
